Our Story
Southern Growers & Traders was founded in 2016 by Alfredo Pizarro and Felipe Elton, two Chilean agronomists with great vision and innovative spirit. The import company based in the U.S. was established to expand its borders and develop its international operations Chilean quality fruit export company Faraway Land Chile SpA.
Faraway Land Chile and the founding partners have 30 years of experience in the production, packaging, distribution and marketing of fresh quality fruit in international markets. Over the last 10 years the company has been successful in implementing itself in the blueberry market, with a strong concentration in organic production. Also, integrated other commodities such as avocado, kiwis, apples and citrus.
Strong supplier relationships and high quality standards who we are as an import company. We established ourselves in the state of Florida, U.S. and at the port of Rotterdam, Holland, in September of 2016. With the goal to improve quality and logistics control in our operations chain.

Felipe Elton

Felipe Elton, Co-Founder of Southern Growers & Traders LLC was born in Santiago de Chile and has a degree in Agronomy. He has 30 years experience in management and export of high quality fruit. He is part of a generation of agronomists who believe that one of the priorities of their profession is to understand the land and its producers in order to export fruits that deliver the best of their origins.

Alfredo Pizarro, Co-Founder of Southern Growers & Traders LLC. was born in Santiago de Chile and has a degree in Agronomy. He has a solid experience in imports and exports of quality fruits since 1992. He is a prominent professional with a clear vision on how to reach optimal quality levels in the export chain, and profound knowledge of how to handle fruit for peek freshness.
